Recognizing that communities play a key role in addressing housing challenges, the Delaware State Housing
Authority developed the "Affordable Housing Resource Center" to be a resource for local government officials
and public viewers to learn about their community's housing needs and also ways to address these needs.
The Resource Center provides information on a wide range of housing strategies, including the effectiveness
of these strategies in various situations. These tools are to assist communities to help those who have
been left behind due to the recent housing boom that resulted in escalated housing prices. This is occurring
at a time when Federal resources for housing have been scaled back. As a result, it is becoming increasingly
important that state, county, and local municipalities have meaningful strategies to encourage safe, decent,
and affordable housing.
