DSHA’s MTW clients graduate from nursing assistant training program

On March 28, four of DSHA’s Moving to Work (MTW) clients graduated from Coleman’s CNA Academy. The Academy, founded in 2023 by Dea Coleman, provides a four-week, state-approved certified-nursing-assistant-training program.
Since last year, 24 MTW clients have graduated from the program and had their tuitions covered by DSHA through a Memorandum of Understanding between DSHA and Dea Coleman, herself a former MTW client and public housing resident.
Two of the graduates, Tyeshia Heath and Nigeria Sudler, took part in the March 28 graduation ceremony, held at The Hive on Loockerman, in Dover. Isaiah Greene, DSHA’s Social Services Manager, addressed the graduates as the guest speaker, saying “Today marks the beginning of something great. You are stepping into a field where you matter. You can change lives. Go forward with confidence, dream big, and work hard.”
